IMPORTANT!!
The server on the webhotel that I have the site on have had problems with one of their harddisc´s, it had to many failures that it had to be replaced, instead of repaired.
Therefor the downtime that was supposed to be about 6 hours, actually took longer. The technicians had to exchange and reinstall. So, the site could not be reached for about 18 hours. The site itself is up and running now though.
But...
The technicians also had to reinstall "php" and sql-databases (witch the forum, chat, gallery, guestbook and such) and all other applications to the new harddisc. This took longer then expected, and they have also (since the system was down anyway) done some work today, that should have been done on saturday. All sql-databases is still down, but sould be running again later on this evening.
I am sorry for this downtime, but can not do anything about it. Howewer, I have been spared from long downtimes in the past, so I am overall really pleased with the webhotel.

The last clutch of 3 eggs from Leopardsnakes ( Zamenis situla ) are hatching. The first 2 have pipped as I am writing this!
I tried to feed the young ones that hatched 1-12 september, and all except one ate by themselves. Good that I don´t have to assist on their feeding as it is quite stressing for them.

I got some great looking Dinnik´s vipers ( Vipera dinniki ) from another locality ( Aspid ridge ). They are going to be interesting to follow.. I allso got a new bunch ( 2.1.4 ) of European green treefrogs ( Hyla arborea ). Breeding seems possible next season.

Dinnik´s vipers ( Vipera dinniki ) and Orlov´s viper ( Vipera orlovi ) has been born. Awaiting the Leoparsnakes ( Zamenis situla ) to hatch any day now..

Most animals are up from hibernation now and allmost in full temp and heatingtime. The smaller snakes that was born last year have been fed for the first time for the season.

I got a pair of (Vipera ( ammodytes ) transcaucasiana) Transcaucasian Long-nosed vipers today. They are about 2 years old and looking great! Have a look in this thread on the forum.
All animals are hibernating, and have been for some time now. I am a bit late, but still..

Today, two frogs arrived. Two male European Green Treefrogs (Hyla arborea), and once again I have hopes to be able to breed the group that now counts to 8 animals in total. I do know that one of the frogs already in my facility is a male, but I think that some "competition" is needed to actually start this male to breed.

I have put all the Hyla arborea´s into hibernation in the refridgerator from the outdoorterrarium now, and I am going to feed all the adult snakes today for the last time before hibernation.

The Z. samenis have finally hatched! They started to hach september 10, that is the same day as I was about to go to germany and the Terraristika and BEE-show. Link to more info. I haven´t checked their genders yet, as they are in shed as I write this. The trip to Germany was good, and I actually took a couple of extra days off work, to visit "Randers regnskov" ( Rainforest of Randers ) with my friend. Some new animals found their way to my facility this time too, 1.1 V. lotievi, 0.0.3 T. lepidus (with locationdatas!) and 1.0 V. eriwanensis.All animals are CB:s of course.

The first Elaphe quatuorlineata muenteri, Aegean Fourlined ratsnake hatched! Of the three remaining eggs, one is now out, one had died inside the egg and one is still inside the egg. More information and pictures in this thread in the forum.

All 10 eggs from the Zamenis situla looks really good, so far, and have been growing a lot. Not very long to go now, as they have been in the incubator for a little more then 50 days now. The eggs from E. q. muenteri looks fine too, although 1 of them was bad, and have been removed. Not long there either, before the should hatch.
No babies from any Vipera sp. this year. V. renardi-female layed some waxeggs / slugs / painball-ammunition, or whatever you like to call unfertile eggs. :) And the V. a. ammodytes stopped being gravid. I guess that she have redrawn them to her body again.

I was about to feed some of the snakes the day before last, when I noticed that the female Elaphe quatuorlineata muenteri looked really big, so big that I put in a box with Sphagnum-moss to her. I went inside my house to defrost some mice, and when I came back she was in the box, digging around. I had a look when I came home from work yesterday, and what do you know.. 4 eggs! I wasn´t sure that she was big enouth, but she obviousley was. More info and pictures in the forum: "E. quatuorlineata munteri eggs."

The eggs from the Z. situla came yesterday. 10!! eggs in the sizes ranging from the largest: 45 x 25 mm´s to the smallest 37 x 27 mm´s. All looking good, and are now in the incubator. More info, and pictures in the thread: "This year I will get them" in the forum. The V. renardi female have shed her skin 2 days ago, so I´m counting on babies any moment now.

The Vipera renardi female is going into shed right now, so I expect babies from her within 10 days or so. The Vipera ammodytes female refused food at the last feed, and that is a good sign. You can follow the process in the forum, in the thread "They do take long time".. I am also expecting eggs from the Z. situla female any day now. The Scherpner´s incubator is already set on 25 - 26 degrees C.
I have also made a fieldtrip to the Balkans for 8 days ( May 20 - 28 ), witch I will report from a bit later in the forum.

One of the Vipera renardi-females is really fat from gravidity now, and I expect young ones before the end of May. Not sure if the Vipera ammodytes is gravid, she is quite big. But she have allways been big, so it´s hard to tell..

The group of Hyla arborea´s have now gone into hibernation in a refridgerator. At least the 5 out of 6 animals, I could not find the last one. They have been in an outdoorterrarium since late July, but it is getting too cold outside for them. It was only +3 degrees Celcius outside this morning, and the temperatures have been lower a couple of nights ago..

All the animals that are indoors are being fed pretty hard right now, preparing for hibernation. The Vipera sp. ovulate in the autumn, so if they are fed enough there will hopefully be some babies next summer.
